One of the main draws of getting your practice online is the opportunity to develop multiple income streams in the form of products and programs you can sell to a wide audience. This is what I mean when I say that when you get online you can “help more people and make more money.”
Here’s a quick example (the actual dollar amounts are not what I list here).
I offer a program for kids with executive functioning weaknesses called, “The Homework Survival Bootcamp.” All the material is sent online and I created the content once and any one can now download it at their convenience. This means I do no direct counseling or coaching and the income is passive.
I charge $100 for this program.
If 100 people buy it this year I will make $10,000 from this program alone. Neat, right?
My job is to create these programs and then market them to as many people as I can. If I get 200 people to buy I make $20,000…you get the idea.
You can do this, too, in your specialty. I”ve talked to many therapists in the last year on ways they can create products and programs that will benefit their target clients.
And while the process to get these income streams up and running isn’t cognitively complex, there are a lot of factors to consider and what I call, “moving parts” to get everything to work together so you make some money. So I can’t really explain how to do this in a blog post.
What I am planning on doing is offering a course for a few people who are ready to develop their first online product or program! I want to work closely with motivted folks who are ready to put their ideas into action. I’ll give you all the tools and information you need, and will coach and mentor you long enough to get your product ready to sell.
I’m finding that just throwing information at people is nice and can be done at a low price point, but then you need more…more support, a sounding board, more brainstorming and help tweaking the process when it isn’t working just right.
Ultimately, I want you to be successful because I really do want you to help more people and get paid well to do that! If I help 10 of you to help 100 people each, I’ve indirectly helped 1000 people! You have to admit,that is win-win-win for all of us!
